Beach very busy with a lot of young people and tourists. Nearby is the Santa Catarina fort dating from the 16th century and completed in the 17th century. Its lighthouse remained in operation as an aid to navigation and the entry of vessels to shore. Inside there is a small chapel dedicated to Santa Catarina.
