Ecomuseu de Barroso - Pólo de Salto (Casa do Capitão)
The Eco-Museum pole jump is dedicated to traditional crafts and respective tools, to the cycles of the flax and the wool, the most emblematic local activities such as the slaughter of the pig and the feast of Saint Sebastian. Also worth mentioning the volfrãmio mines of Borralha and the stories of the presence of Dom Nuno Álvares Pereira by lands of Barroso.
The pole is installed in the captain's House, once the home of locality. Exemplifies through its physical Constitution little changed and their history the meaning of a wealthy farm house of Barroso and the processes that led to the disappearance of this typology.
