Praia do Barril
Beach much sought after by tourists, inserted in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa. The most typical way to get there is by taking a tourist train that connects Pedras de El-Rei to the beach for 3 euros (round trip), allowing you to enjoy a pleasant walk that takes in a vast area of pine forest and dunes. There are those who go on foot, but it is a long journey. At the end of the journey, you will find white sand as far as the eye can see, calm waters that make it a truly pleasant place. The beach terraces were converted from former tuna fishing facilities, which is why you can see countless anchors resting on the sand.
