Porto is trending! The city swirls with life, with excitement at every corner, and new restaurants open at an amazing pace. From more traditional flavours to food of the world, there are endless options to gather friends around the table or simply to cuddle the stomach. All About Portugal takes you on an expedition of flavours and aromas, where you can eat in a bandstand, (finally) taste Vietnamese delicacies and reach the true concept of #foodporn.

Artesão Bistrô

Artesão Bistrô

The name, in addition to referring to the old workshop that once existed there, is also justified by the fact that it now operates an authentic workshop of traditional flavours, by the hand of master chef João Lima, who has gone through Michelin-starred restaurants. Located between Ribeira and São Bento Station, in this space you can taste reinvented traditional dishes, prepared with ingredients from the period, while appreciating the ancient artefacts that decorate the walls.

Yes, this restaurant is actually installed in a bandstand, and it is the only one of its kind in the country. Located in the Quinta da Boa Vista leisure park in Maia, it specializes in matured meats and allows customers to visit the maturation room. Inside, everything has been thought through in detail, from the marble Counter to the magnificent chandelier, creating a truly romantic and welcoming atmosphere.

In this new restaurant and wine bar you can taste international snacks, accompanied by a good wine or cocktail. The space is intimate and the decoration neat, inviting lively conversations into the night. In addition, you can bring your dog with you and leave a picture of your four-legged friend on the Wall of Fame.

Chef Olivier da Costa finally brings the Guilty seal to Invicta! Located near the Bom Sucesso Market and Casa da Música, it is known as the true food porn restaurant and its menu is to be enjoyed without fear and without guilt. A trendy space with a bold menu where hamburgers and pizzas stand out, which also works as a bar on weekends, with DJs on duty.

K.O.B. by Olivier

2019 is Olivier's year in Porto! Even before opening Guilty, it was K.O.B. that first took over Invicta, more specifically the trendy Lower Town (Baixa). The speciality is matured meat from around the world (K.O.B. stands for Knowledge of Beef) and, to accompany, magnificent cocktails. The space also has a bar side, with DJ's on weekends.

Under the purview of chef Pedro Moura Bessa, Panda presents a mix of influences, with various dishes to share, such as Mexican tacos, Peruvian ceviches and roast beef Carpaccio. It was born in an old bicycle warehouse, now transformed into an exotic refuge, reminiscent of a jungle, where the community table stands out in the centre and there is a cocktail bar downstairs.

A cosy space with friendly service where you can finally taste delicacies such as spring rolls and the famous Hanoi Pho, as well as wok dishes and salads. At the back, it has a nice and modest terrace, the ideal place to taste a Hanoi or Saigon beer.
