This church was a convent built in the century XIII, by order of Saint Elizabeth Queen of Portugal. The edification is composed by church, infirmary and cloister, with semi attached columns and decorated capitals. Inside the building it is worth to mention the images, the paintings, the baroque altars, the panels and tiles from the XVIII century. It is important to enhance the Chapter Room, the cloister fountain made in 1625 and St. Pedro fountain.

Vila Real de Santo António

A fort also known as Fortress of Cacela, it stands in a dominant position by the mouth of the Formosa river bank. The primitive fortification was a Moorish castle that preceded the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. During the 16th century, already in ruins, it was rebuilt by orders of Dom João III or Dom Sebastião. After the earthquake of 1755, it was rebuilt again by Dom Francisco de Noronha and the works were finished in 1794.

Also known as ruins of Santiago, it was initially a Roman villa with origins from the 1st century, altered in the first half of the 2nd century and destroyed in the 4th century, to make way for the building visible today. In the Middle Ages it was the Convent of the Military Order of Santiago, having been abandoned in the 16th century. The central body is framed by two symmetrical turrets that give it great monumentality.

Factory opened in 1884 by brothers Antonio and Manuel Guerreiro Pleasures, with a small production of raw flour. Later, the company grew and began to manufacture fine bran flours too and Pollard. In 1963, the grinding was transferred to a new building, getting this to work as bakers, feed mill and headquarters administrative services. Em1985 was acquired by a larger company, having been closed permanently in 1991.
