Built in 1715, by the spot where the medieval wall used to be, it had the castle behind, whose donjorl was preserved. In front of the arcade was the Campo de Santa Ana, ordered by D. Diogo de Sousa in the XVI century. Between 1761 and 1767, at the time of the archbishop D. Gaspar de Bragança, the central nucleus of the arcade was opened and the Igreja da Lapa (church), with an André Soares drawing, was built.

This chapel is attached to the walls of Feira Castle, having been built in 1656 by order of the Countess of Feira, D. Joana Forjaz Pereira de Meneses e Silva. It is a learned building, with a hexagonal section, revealing the influence of important centrally planned chapels in the region. Inside, the floor forms a radial design from the center, and there are gilded altarpieces on five walls. Attached to the chapel is the chaplain's house.

It has some elements from the sixteen hundreds and from the eighteen hundreds. Vila Nova de Gaia

This monument’s construction was ordered by the Town Hall, paying homage to Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral, the two Portuguese aviators that did, for the first time, the air crossing of the Atlantic-South (Lisbon-Rio de Janeiro) on the single-motor hydroplane “Lusitânia”. The monument is represented by the armillary sphere on top and a stone basis with commemorative inscriptions. It is placed near the city centre, in a square also called “the aviators”.
