A fountain with a back wall dating from the 18th century, composed of a single curved panel topped by royal arms on the pediment. It was commissioned by Queen Maria I, on the site where the Arabs had a public well.

Watermill of granite, single copy of hydraulic mill which subsists from the set that existed at the site. Is docked on the river bank, with three floors. Inside, it has a vertical wheel in wood, right next to the water.

Late-baroque chapel with a façade flanked by two lengths with its Bell and with a gable roof. The current chapel was built in the late 17TH century\/early 18th century on the site of an ancient temple existed already.

By this site are various expressions of gratitude to the Virgin of various regions of the country and even from abroad. Some believers go through this place almost every weekend, just to be able to touch the statue of the Lady of the Relief.

Church of longitudinal plan simple with a single space, a vestry located near and with homogeneous coverage of the gable roof. In the center of the main facade, there is a quadrangular Bell Tower. It was built in 1910, on the site of a previous Temple existed.

Medieval graves located next to the Main Church of Castelo de Penalva. These open graves are protected by a fence made up of a chain. Stones belonging to the original church can be found around the archaeological site.

A dam located on the Varosa River, in the heart of the Douro Basin. The most common fish species are barbel, boga, scallo, and trout. The site often serves as the finishing point for canoeing events on the Varosa and Balsemão rivers.

Along this water-course there are several places where you can see the harbour, the bay, the Funchal amphitheatre and the modern bridge over Ribeira de João Gomes. This track, ideal to discover nature, was recovered by the town council of Funchal.

Wide and pleasant square where you can see the Igreja Matriz building, the statue of Dom Afonso – Barcelos Count, the Town Hall building and the Museum/Library building. Chaves Castle is just a few meters from this square.

Building built in 1898 for tourist purposes. The casino consists of the Salão Nobre (Salão Cafée), a restaurant in the basement, bars and other rooms, where you can see a large influx of people having fun or looking for some luck.
