Located close to the town of Fontes and at 657 meters above sea level, this viewpoint is, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular in the municipality, offering stunning views over Serra do Marão and the surrounding region, from a 360 degree perspective.
The Chapel is located on a hillside, from where one can view a landscape of hills and small valleys. Its architecture is baroque, with a longitudinal plan, only one nave, a high altar and a sacristy. This chapel is larger than most of the chapels in the parish.
From this natural viewpoint, you'll enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Costa Vicentina. It was built in 1635 during the reign of Philip III to protect fishermen. Rebuilt in 1670, it was hit by the great earthquake in 1755, leaving it severely damaged.
The name comes from the fantastic views that offers over the region of Alentejo. Presents diverse gastronomy, served with friendliness and recognized for its quality. The traditional tomato soup, Migas potatoes, lamb stew without forgetting the Sericaia do the honors.
A typical windmill from the western region, overlooking the village of Sobral de Monte Agraço and its surroundings, offering views of the Church of São Quintino and a beautiful landscape stretching across a vast valley. The interior of the windmill can be visited by appointment.
