It is a mixture of architectural styles, the result of the amount of times it has been restored. You can visit the Gothic cloister and the treasury, with a very varied collection of silver objects, ecclesiastical vestments, images, manuscripts and relics related to São Vicente. On the outside, the façade stands out, with a porch and portal with four primitive Romanesque archivolts.

This castle was formerly a Lusitanian fortification, but it was the Romans who made it militarily important. During the reign of King Dinis, fortification and expansion work was carried out, with six towers being erected and walls being built around the town. After losing its defensive function, the castle fell into decline. Currently, only a few sections of the walls, some gates, and two towers remain. The Passeio das Virtudes is leaning over the Calçada das Virtudes, which ends at the Virtudes Fountain. Being a balcony over Miragaia, it offers a beautiful view of the landscape spreading out from the river till its mouth. Here you will find the Cooperativa Árvore head-office, which is the stage for several cultural activities.

Former Franciscan convent with a rectangular plan with two floors, dating from the 17th century, with an attached church, with a plan in the shape of a Latin cross. In the convent building, the bell tower stands out, with a quadrangular plan and three floors. The church has a single nave, accessed through a stonework portal, located in the middle of the gospel side.
