O Motel Fonte dos Amores é a primeira unidade hoteleira do género em Coimbra. The Almedina Arch was part of the medieval walls, dating back to the 11th century, as indicated by the Arabic-origin toponym meaning "the city". Today it is the entrance to old Coimbra, where one can see a sculpture from the workshop of João de Ruão. The wall has Roman origins, having been expanded several times. It presents characteristics of Roman, Muslim, Romanesque, Gothic and Manueline architecture.

Is one of the many existing Áshrama across the country, affiliated to the Portuguese Confederation of Yoga, Yoga and Lusa Federation Lusa Association of Yoga.

The main façade stands over a landing where one arrives from a stairway, under which there is passing water. One should notice the three stonework portals with a straight rod in architrave, the taller middle one, with an interrupted triangular gable, a cruxifix and forged iron gratings. Inside, one should pay close attention to the sculptured panel and to the side walls with blue painted wood.
