The views from here are breathtaking. They stretch from the Atlantic Ocean (to the west), to the Serra da Estrela (southeast), and past the Serra do Caramulo (northeast). The Buçaco National Forest stands out in the landscape.
A typical mountain village with granite houses and narrow stone streets. It is surrounded by agricultural fields. The village is located on one of the mountain's foothills, with amazing views of the Serra da Estrela (Estrela Mountain) in clear sky days.
