In the month of April, at the village of Cavalinho, in Gondar, the Feira dos Burros (Donkey Fair) or Feira dos 29 (Fair of the 29th, because it is on the 29th) takes place. In this time honoured fair cattle is sold and dokey and horse races take place.

This route allows visitors to discover the tradition of lime extraction, which for many years was part of life in São Vicente, the only place in Madeira where limestone exists. The aim is, therefore, to recreate an activity that took place until the mid-1970s.

The Luna Alvor Bay is situated next to the picturesque village of Alvor and a few metres from one of the best and most famous beaches of the Algarve. In the tourist centre of Alvor, are traces of Arab architecture. Near the Ria de Alvor is a wide offer of algarvian gastronomy, bars with live music, animation and the famous handicraft of the region.

Located on the left bank of the Douro River, it has an extensive beach and a bathing support area consisting of a First Aid Post, WC, changing rooms and Bar. The area surrounding the river beach offers its users the best equipment: parking, anchorage and a picnic area. It was distinguished by Quercus with the title “Golden Quality Beach”.

Talmeyda Arabic restaurant, in Almeida, assumed as a showcase of the best that the Edge produces. The atmosphere is very cozy and familiar, aided by careful decoration. In the list of offerings, the sausages grilled roasts deserve the attention of all senses, the pair of ham and cheese, local production. The wines of the region married flawlessly and jams guarantee a happy ending.

The Boa Vista restaurant in Serpa, narrowly was already in Spain, so close to the border that is. This restaurant, Temple of good to eat before they leave the country, is the last opportunity to eat the best game dishes, Migas with pork, cod and bread or roast lamb in the oven at low price and in large quantities. Also has a nice terrace.

The Chafariz do Campo Pequeno was built in 1894. It came to replace a smaller fountain that used to be there. This is a granite fountain, with a hexagonal sink and a fish shaped ajutage. After this fountain’s placing, the place became a lovely garden, called the maternidade Júlio Dinis square.

The imposing Old Se is raised at the square centre and, around it are several XVII, XVIII and XIX century constructions. It is the place where traditionally takes place the students’ serenade which marks the beginning of the Queima das Fitas (traditional students’ weekly party).

This is another place bathed by the waters of the Tagus that can and should be dived, as well as being another place with unique fauna and flora. The picnic park is a must-see, as it offers a panoramic view of the immense Tagus. Don't forget the Amieira Castle and the Maia river.

The PR1 "Dinosaur Route" route begins at the Lourinhã Museum and ends at Fort Paimogo. Along the way, you can visit the Convent of Santo Antônio, the Church of Misericórdia, and the Castle Church. It passes beaches including Areia Branca, Vale Frades, Caniçal, and Paimogo.
