This manor house dates back to 1280 and has undergone renovations and transformations over the centuries, documented in the reigns of King John I, King John III, and King Afonso VI. The chapel is set back from the building, and an inscription on the lintel indicates it was built by Pedro Vaz C. de Sousa.
