The village of Alte is located on the mountains inland of the Algarve and has rural features and typical Algarve houses. It has a folkloric group, a traditional singing group and a theatrical company. The craftswork includes the making of baskets and the ceramics.

The Orca of Rapadouro is a set of three monuments noting that that lies at the highest point. Your access is a bit tricky, though, inevitably, make the journey on foot, approximately 200 metres, until you reach the location.

A huge rock, three metres tall and tem metres wide. Despite its huge size, any child can move it, since it stands on another rock and all it takes is a push to make it swing.
