It gets its name from a nearby rock shaped like a horse. Access is by boat, but it is, nevertheless, a somewhat inhospitable place.

The name of this beach is related to the fact that you may find here the Senhor da Pedra Chapel, placed on a huge rock near the sea, which is the oldest worship place in Miramar. The beach is made of sand-hills and has a new sidewalk as well as a bar and a restaurant with local dainties.

On a narrow, flat beach, after a steep descent made by many steps, is this beach, used largely by tourists from the hotel sets that surround the area. The sea invites you to some nautical activities or swimming. The water is of good quality.

A rather touristy city beach, with a small stretch of sand, surrounded by a wall. There is a relatively good restaurant with many fine terraces and high prices.

A beach where the local fishermen take their fish and dock their boats. The shoreline was recently remodelled. There are small traditional cafes there.
