This old lighthouse, currently in ruins, was severely damaged during the earthquake of July 9, 1988. The site deserves a visit by the fantastic views that delivers, with the sea and the island of São Jorge in the distance.

Here you can see rock formations containing fossils of prehistoric creatures, some over 480 million years old. This site is part of the "Fossil Trail" hiking trail.

The Louções Hill belongs to the Natural Park of the Sâo Mamede Hill. It has pre-historic sites with cave paintings, such as the Gruta da Igreja dos Mouros (Cave of the Moors' Church).

Sited at the Avenida da Boavista, the Green Center has 19 commercial establishments, some of each being restaurants, divided in an 800m2 commercial area. It is still a residential and office building.

Sited at the city centre surroundings, this shopping centre with one floor has a commercial area of 1103m2, with 17 shops and 5 restaurants. This building has both commercial and residential functions.

This walk lasts 3 hours and a half along rather sinuous paths. It starts at the leisure park by the Merujal camping park and follows a route that leads to Mizarela. After a long walk, one arrives at the village of Mizarela and returns to the beginning.

This pedestrian path begins in Lomba da Cruz, parish of Lomba da Fazenda and ends at the highest point of the island, the Pico da Vara. Has an extension of about eight kilometres (five miles) and lasts around five hours.

It is next to Ave River and is located in an area of oaks and cork oaks. It has pedestrian paths, picnic areas, an amphitheater and a lake. Likewise, it has separate parking areas for bicycles and motorcycles, cars and buses. It has an area of 96,274 m².

Located about 350 meters of altitude, in the parish of Salão, this park with about five acres abuts on the South side, with the rural path that leads to the boiler. It is densely wooded, with different tree species, taking as a haven of great beauty and tranquility.

Also known as Quinta de Verdemilho, this farmhouse was built between 1720 and 1750. Contains a shrine and rectangular plan, bypassed internally by a path. Near the gate and located near to the wall is a stone of arms with the arms of Quevedos or Pizarros and Sousas.
