The Cimalhinhas Palheiras Nucleus is part of the Cimalhinhas Heritage Trail. The Cimalhinhas Heritage Trail, in Carregal do Sal, is a local project to safeguard, enhance, and transform archaeological heritage into a museum, aiming to preserve and recover evidence of the past. It consists of a cluster of rough-hewn stone buildings covered with wood and corrugated tiles, which were used to store tools, herd animals, or store straw in post-medieval times.
