Quiet and secluded beach, almost deserted, located next to an ancient fishing factory. The beach is mostly composed of large pebbles. The sea is calm waters. Given the location and ambience, is a beach without any type of infrastructure, wanted for caravanning site or knowledgeable of the place.

Projected by the architect Souto Moura in 1980, it was finished in 1991. On the garden’s side the wall is of stone, but the house opens to the city on the north side, through a glass wall, which lights up the inside. The house presents collective exhibitions and, add to this, it also organizes events related to theatre and cinema, at the auditorium.

The Museu da Fundação Cupertino de Miranda seeks to publicize the modern and contemporary art, especially surrealism. Has as main objectives the study, documentation, conservation and dissemination of its collection. With an important collection made up essentially by Portuguese artists, reinforces an increasingly representative heritage of Portuguese surrealism.

Chapel built in the 18th century, made up of the body of the temple and the sacristy attached. The interior is covered with polychrome tiles until middle of the wall, with the rest filled by paintings of geometric and floral motifs. To highlight the six altarpieces, the front of the high altar of marble stone and a high relief of the 18th century.

Inaugurado em 1940, o Mercado dos Lavradores, no centro do Funchal, foi erigido com o objectivo de ser o grande polo abastecedor da cidade. Projeto da autoria de Edmundo Tavares (1892-1983), apresenta grandes painéis de azulejos da Faiança Batisttini de Maria de Portugal. Atualmente, este espaço ainda exerce as funções para as quais foi criado, tornando-se num ponto de encontro entre locais e turistas, num ambiente onde se misturam cores, sons, cheiros e gentes diversas.
