This baroque and vernacular church was probably built in the end of the 18th century. It still presents some sixteen hundreds elements, such as the curved frontage on the main portico in downcast arch and intersected curved crowning. It is composed by a longitudinal plan with two rectangles juxtaposed and with differentiated cover in 2 and 3 sides on the sacristy.

Built in the late 18th century, the Igreja Matriz has an imposing bell tower. On the main altar there is a valuable image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição from the 18th century and an altarpiece painted by the Albufeira artist Samora Barros. On the side altars and in the sacristy there are images from the 18th and 19th centuries.

On one side of the main church, facing a small garden, stands this Manueline cross. The sculpture, made from a single stone, features delicate lacework and the image of the Crucified Lord of Sorrows. Elements such as a cross with vegetal motifs, a representation of the Pietà, and the faces of the Crucified Christ and the Virgin Mary can be discerned.

The original chapel, dating from the 15th century, was rebuilt between 1674 and 1676. The main façade features a straight-lintel portal, while the side façades feature Manueline arched portals. The interior features the high choir, the pulpit on the Gospel side, and the chancel with a triptych commemorating the patron saint.

A manuelin rural temple that still has features influenced by the gothic style, such as the main gate and the window on the high choir. Inside, a special note to numerous pictures of the 17th and 18th centuries, the manuelin font, the lateral altars of the 1700s, the rococo wodden carvings on the pulpit and the interesting retable on the high altar.
