The Porto Planetarium sessions have a duration of approximately 40 minutes and receive 93 people under a dome of 12, 5 m in diameter. The schedule is adapted to each of the public, since the smallest to adults. The Planetarium has an auditorium, a bar and a shop with books and articles related to Astronomy.

Inaugurated in July 2008, the doors of the sea are a modern space and very excited, which resulted in the refurbishment of the seafront of Ponta Delgada. In the area of leisure and commerce will be able to find a ferry terminal, a recreational marina, a swimming pool, a parking lot, an amphitheatre and a pavilion of the sea. There is also, as expected, a wide variety of department stores, restaurants, bars and shops.

It is the only port on the island used for commercial traffic and the only entrance to the island via sea.
