The Leões Fountain, from 1878, is at the Praça Gomes Teixeira centre. This fountain, made in cast iron, was created in 1877 by the Compagnie Générale des Eaux pour L'Etranger. This company was responsible of the water in the city. The fountain has three overlapped cups and four winged lions where the water flows from.

Fortress built in the second half of the 17th century. Initially was the city's gunpowder store (intended for all forts and towers on the island) and used to defend the city from corsair attacks, also functioning as a prison. From the mid-twentieth century, it was handed over to the navy, which installed the Armada Communications Center there.

Building of remote origins is located in a strait that penetrates the sea. In its construction, this hermitage incorporates stones from previous roman/medieval buildings located nearby. Inside there is a valuable image of the Virgin and Child from the 16th century. This hermitage was once surrounded by a coastal defense fortress that was destroyed by the 1755 earthquake.

Church with three naves, divided by arches supported by Tuscan columns with decorative paintings from the 17th century. On the ceiling of the central nave there is a painting, from the same century, of the patron saint. The vaulted chancel has an 18th-century altarpiece with twisted columns and a tabernacle with shell niches and large bare atlanteans.

The monastery of this Palace was inhabited by Monks from 1451. In the Church, highlighted by a tomb set dating from the 15th and 16th centuries: Tomb of Fernão Teles de Meneses, dated 1481, and Tomb of João da Silva and Aires da Silva, designed by the sculptor Diogo Pires Manueline-o-Boy.

Small island in basalt with a land area of approximately 12 hectares, where you can find a rich and diverse seabird colony, considered one of the richest of the archipelago. Is easily accessible by boat and is about a mile from the village from the beach and featuring a small port. Is classified as a Special Protection zone.

The parish church of Boticas, dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Livração, was built in the late 19TH century. The main façade has a portal surmounted by a rectangular oval and shoots in simple pediment surmounted by a granite cross. Has a quadrangular Bell Tower with four founders tears, built at a later stage. Inside the walls are decorated with paintings depicting biblical themes such as "the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves". Quinta do Convento da Franqueira, situated in Barcelos, is a space of turismo de habitação installed in a former Franciscan convent from the 16th century.
