This is one of the small villages of the Natural Park of the Estrela Mountain, at an altitude of 580 metres. Most of its inhabitants are farmers these days, even though the culture of linen used to be an activity until quite recently. The houses are made of granite, which is an architectural feature of this region. Nearby, one may visit the Caldeirão dam or practise mountaineering.

The project of an artificial tropical forest began in 1910. The Greenhouse opened in 1930 and has four spaces: three greenhouses and a walking area by the lake. It has vast tropical flora, with exotic species from the five continents. The decorative ambience has small grottos, statues, staircases and fountains. A very romantic place that deserves a visit.

The Rio Alto camping, situated nearby the beach of Apulia, is a space where you can benefit from direct contact with nature. As an alternative, we suggest a visit to the Proto-historic Settlement Terroso and the fortress of Nossa Senhora da Conceição.

Mount São Mamede has an altitude of 750 meters, offering one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Minho region. Besides the phenomenal view, you can visit the Church of Fontarcada, the monasteries of Tibães, Rendufe and Bouro, the Castle of Lanhoso, the Torre dos Machados, and the sanctuaries of Sameiro, Senhora do Pilar and Porto de Ave.

It was the largest company in the cork sector in Portugal and, for a time, in the world. Recognized for its innovative social policy, it became intimately linked to the lives of many generations of Seixal residents, making it a must-see for anyone visiting the municipality. The factory's former canteens have been transformed into a modern restaurant and bar, with a privileged view of the Seixal Bay.

Pedestrian trail with a length of around eight kilometers, along which you will pass through beautiful green fields and some small waterfalls. The trail runs along Rua de São José, with Ribeira das Barrelas on your right. This path presents several views over the south coast of São Miguel Island and, on days with good visibility, you can even see Santa Maria Island.

In the Centre of the town lies this granite House with more than 300 years, characteristic of beirã zone, keeping the traditional wood-burning oven, haystack and "zagão". "Zagão" is the name given to the patio or terrace where all agricultural activity. Has a beautiful garden and offers a peaceful stay. Bell Tower that belonged to the primitive Church of Horta. The clock tower was not part of the original set of the Church, but have been built in the early 18TH century. The Church, on your lathe, suffered many calamities since its construction and was demolished in 1825. Have quadrangular, three storeys and is built essentially on stone masonry plastered and painted white. Includes a clock with dial in each of the four sides, under the spans of bells.

Belonging to the set attached to the Águas Livres Aqueduct, an aqueduct, in stone, created to get water to the Terreiro do Paço de Queluz for consumption of the Royal Mews. The work was created in the place of two sources: the source of Gargantada and do Pocinho and served several fountains and fountains in Queluz. Built by d.
