Created in 1990 by the Silves City Council and built around the remarkable Almóada Well-Cistern, the museum's collections showcase archaeological finds from the region and the city. Chronologically organized, the museum's collections are divided into prehistory, Roman, Muslim, and Portuguese periods (up to the 17th century). Highlights include Iron Age funerary stelae with inscriptions of the Southwest Iberian Peninsula script, considered the region's first written language.

A pedestrian trail, quite plain and easy. It follows the Olo river along an old path that connected the region's vilages. The trail ends at the amazing waterfalls of Fisgas do Ermelo.

An important place in the Minho region's nights, the Vaticano (Vatican) is a true sacred temple for those who love house and trance. Loads of adrenalin throughout the night, with famed DJs.

Housed in the former Primary School, this museum is a tribute to the memory of the riverside people of the municipality and to the vessel that formerly transported wine from the Douro Demarcated Region to Porto - the "Rabelos" Boats.
