Rustic house, located in the Serra da Estrela mountains, approximately 700 meters above sea level, near the natural wells of Ribeira de Alvoco. Quiet and pleasant place where you can fish and hunt.

Are formed by a set of three shrines: Hermitages of Saint Eustace, Saint Jerome and of Nossa Senhora de Belém. Each one has its uniqueness, but its set converts this space in a singular place and great architectural richness.

Building of the New State which features modernist architecture. It's a school with classrooms, cafeteria and housing for teachers. The interior has a black frame, originally from that era, where they placed the photographs of the head of State and the President of the Council of Ministers.

Imposing statue with several tribute plaques, erected in honor of the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques. It was designed by Soares dos Reis and was inaugurated in 1874. For some years it was in Praça do Toural, until it was definitively placed there.

Statue built to pay homage to the poet and pedagogue João de Deus (1830-1896). It is sited in a place called the “poets’ retreat” where also are several statues and effigies of famous poets that have been in the students’ city.

A Romanesque temple from the late 12th century, it belonged to the former Monastery of the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine. Construction began in 1136, with expansions taking place in the 16th and 18th centuries. The Baroque elements date from the latter.

Built in 1662, in a place called “do Queijo”, to protect the city from the Spanish Fleet. Surrounded by a moat, it presents watch-boxes at the corners. Inside it is the governor’s residence at the time and a chapel. Nowadays it is the stage for many temporary exhibitions.

Public fountain from the D. João V period, with two ajutages and a large tank. This magnificent baroque construction is located in front of the Manga Garden, at the place where the Santa Cruz Tower once was. It is sided by the Montarroio stairs.

Traditional meeting point to celebrate the conquests of the people of Guimarães. At one end of the Square, you can find a beautiful Renaissance fountain with three bowls. In the center of the square, an iron railing was placed to recover the old layout of the square.

This church is dated from the 18th century and it possesses a pentagonal plan and a portico topped by a big window that is inserted in the baroque period. On the inside it displays images from Maria six pains and a seventh figure is placed close to the altar.
