Based on some garden benches and a gazebo, Garden Florêncio Terra (writer, publicist, teacher and Azorean politician) is a place of relaxation in the heart of the city of Horta. Some shady trees, flowerbeds and lush grass spaces garnish this bucolic space.

Large park with a magnificent view of the city and the Sousa Valley. Here you can stroll among enormous trees and relax on one of the park benches. Highlights include the fountains, bandstand, wayside cross, and shrine to Our Lady of Piety.

The Fortress of São Filipe, located only 1 km away from Setúbal, offers a unique view of the city and the sea. The spring, the Sado River and its estuary split the horizon, adding more blue to this already blue scenery.

Huge work that crosses the Alcântara valley, being that the most visible part of this monument are the 14 arches. At the end of the aqueduct rises a structure with a castle shape called the Mãe d’àgua of the Amoreiras. There are guided tours to the arches and the reservoir that supplies the city.

The Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Dores, located on Monte Carriça, in the parish of São Martinho de Bougado, is a 19th century baroque temple. Here, in the month of August, a large procession begins that runs through the streets of the city of Trofa.

This small museum, placed close to Igreja de Santo António (Santo António Church), presents a collection of engravings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics and liturgical ornaments that evoke the patron saint of the city. Gold and silver objects decorate the space.

These are only fragments from the pillory which until half of the 19th century was in Largo de São João in front of the City Council house and next to the Chapel of São João and Cabo House. The others remnants from the pillory are missing.

Also known as the Torre da Cidade (city tower), it is a three floors, quadrangular building. It has named after the Porto’s bishop that, in 1147, at the terreiro da Sé, encouraged the crusaders to help D. Afonso Henriques at the Lisbon conquest.
