It was the first public garden in the city, open in 1834. Its name comes from a former medieval leprosery demolished in the XVIII century. This is a romantic space crowded with fountains and statues, leafy trees and flower beds and also a small bandstand. The garden is the only one in the city that has a railing. It is visited habitually by students, since the Fine Arts Faculty and the Municipal Library are nearby.

Within this magnificent monument, the extensive walls, the quadrangular turrets, the keep, and what remains of the barbicans are preserved, bearing witness to its defensive value. Rebuilt during the reign of King Manuel I, the armillary sphere, a Manueline-style window opening in the coastal wall, and the royal coat of arms are visible. Inside the walls, vestiges of the Chapel of Saint Michael and a Romanesque colonnade remain.

Opened in 1989, located in the conventual wing of the former Benedictine monastery of Santo Tirso, it is an archaeological museum, where you can find the collections of Abbot Joaquim de Pedrosa (early 20th century), Carlos Faya Santarém (1950s) and of the Municipal Archeology Office. It also preserves a Roman milestone to Magnentius that marked mile XXI of Itinerary XVI between Braga and Lisbon.

Installed in the building that was, from the 16th century until 1834, the 13th Convent of the Order of Arrábidos, it opened its doors to the public as a museum in 1998 and presents several exhibitions related to the municipality of Loures, namely, archeology, ethnography and visual arts. It preserves two milestones found during the construction of the new Palace of Justice in the city of Loures, where a Roman Villa was also identified.
