The Pousada de Viseu is the result of the recovery of a majestic building, formerly former São Teotónio Hospital, opened in 1842. The redevelopment project, signed by architect Gonçalo Byrne, adapted installations, revealing today ideal for relax, read and enjoy the landscape or even the beautiful sculptures of the building. Offers bar, restaurant, SPA and swimming pool, to offer you pleasant moments of leisure.

The LBV House Hotel opened in February 2013, in the heart of the pinion. The Douro characterizes the surroundings, with the shale of the facades of the hotel to match the landscape. Comprised of nine rooms and two suites, the LGW House Hotel also has swimming pool, jacuzzi, bar and contemporary Harvest restaurant. The bar may be seen the vale do Pinhão and is the ideal place for liasing with the Douro wines.

Located just two miles from the legendary Ponte de Cavez, referred to in the work of Camilo Castelo Branco, this lovely quinta wine tourism extends hillsides of the river Tâmega. Their production of wine, belonging to the family farm Sousa Botelho for generations, dating back to the 18th century. In 1996, as a complement of the activity, opened a House of Rural tourism where visitors can install.

It was the first public garden in the city, open in 1834. Its name comes from a former medieval leprosery demolished in the XVIII century. This is a romantic space crowded with fountains and statues, leafy trees and flower beds and also a small bandstand. The garden is the only one in the city that has a railing. It is visited habitually by students, since the Fine Arts Faculty and the Municipal Library are nearby.

Within this magnificent monument, the extensive walls, the quadrangular turrets, the keep, and what remains of the barbicans are preserved, bearing witness to its defensive value. Rebuilt during the reign of King Manuel I, the armillary sphere, a Manueline-style window opening in the coastal wall, and the royal coat of arms are visible. Inside the walls, vestiges of the Chapel of Saint Michael and a Romanesque colonnade remain.

Modern stadium opened on October, 25th, 2003, built for the practice of football. It has 65 thousand seats. The new “cathedral” of Benfica, stage of the EURO 2004, replaces the mythic Luz stadium and its famous third ring. The stadium was planed by the company Hok Sports and contemplates a relevant leisure area, from which the commercial and health clubs areas stand out.

Opened in 2009, this modern sports complex is intended to train athletes in high-yield scheme. In addition to the exceptional conditions for cycling, judo, gymnastics, still hosts fencing, trampoline and acrobatic sports. Has a cycle track covered with 250 meters and 7.1 meters wide. It also has a hotel with 16 bedrooms and a center stage with integrated equipment for preparation and recovery of athletes.

Opened in 1989, located in the conventual wing of the former Benedictine monastery of Santo Tirso, it is an archaeological museum, where you can find the collections of Abbot Joaquim de Pedrosa (early 20th century), Carlos Faya Santarém (1950s) and of the Municipal Archeology Office. It also preserves a Roman milestone to Magnentius that marked mile XXI of Itinerary XVI between Braga and Lisbon.

Installed in the building that was, from the 16th century until 1834, the 13th Convent of the Order of Arrábidos, it opened its doors to the public as a museum in 1998 and presents several exhibitions related to the municipality of Loures, namely, archeology, ethnography and visual arts. It preserves two milestones found during the construction of the new Palace of Justice in the city of Loures, where a Roman Villa was also identified.
