The campsite Pedrogao Beach, opened in 1979, benefits from the fact of having direct access to the beach. Features a playground prepared for the practice of numerous sports and has a calm and peaceful environment, ideal for rest. It's a great starting point to discover the region, which suggests a visit to the termas de Monte Real and natural area of Piso, among other attractions.

The Caldeira, a crater 2000 meters in diameter and 400 meters deep, results from the volcanic nature of Faial Island. It's a beauty for the eyes, as long as the weather conditions alow it. Access to the conditioned interior, subject to the Faial Natural Park Guide. Inland, the diversity of botanical habitats deserves to be highlighted: laurel forest, cedar forests, peat bogs, reeds, among others.

One of the most fantastic beach restaurants throughout the Algarve and also one of the oldest. Situated on Três Irmãos beach, the restaurant and bar Caniço is literally located in a grotto of the cliff. Access via a tunnel and a lift, from the Village of Prainha. Fresh fish and seafood dominate a menu. Good wine list. As one would expect, the restaurant is closed during the winter.

The Art Center began its activities in May 1986, with the intention of creating a space that would allow privileged access to cultural initiatives in terms of visual arts, as well as training in very specific areas of art not covered in academic curricula. It offers courses in painting, printmaking, tapestry, photography, and screen printing, among others, and activities such as exhibitions, workshops, and colloquia.

Built between the second half of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century, the Vilar Tower is a symbol of seigniorial power over the territory and proof of the existence of a "domus fortis," a fortified manor house in the Sousa Valley. It is a five-story building with granite ashlar masonry. The tower was illuminated by Romanesque-style arrow slits and accessed through an arched doorway with a tympanum.

The Praça da Liberdade has known several names along the centuries. Its construction was due to the progressive growing of the city. The "Feira dos Capões", well known for being the fair of the castrated roosters, takes place at the Freamunde parish on december 13th. It is the only event of that kind in Portugal and it has taken place at least since the 15th century and it was oficialized by a king's decree on August 3rd 1719. According to the specialists, the fact that a rooster is castrated makes him fatter and stimulates his growth, thus making his meat better tasting. The museum, located next to the entrance to the Roman city of Conímbriga, features a permanent exhibition depicting customs, artistic, and cultural phenomena dating from the first millennium BC to the sixth century AD. These are grouped by theme: daily life, architecture, and cults, illustrated by countless objects and fragments of various metals, ceramics, glass, stone (including sculptures), stucco, mural paintings, and bones. Among other finds, it preserves four milestones found within the city of Conímbriga (Mile CXVI of the XVI Itinerary from Braga to Lisbon) or nearby: two to Constantius Chlorus, one to Tacitus, and one to Galerius Maximian.
