During the excavation which took place along several years by the ruins of the Salir castle, the technicians have found a variety of objects dating back to the moorish period, with much historical interest. It was then decided to build a museum where those objects are exhibited. A project by the architect Mário Varela Gomes.

Space devoted to the ornamental arts, placed at the Condes de Azurara Palace (XVII century). The collection includes the silver and china collection, the exotic wood furniture, various antiques from the XVII and XVIII centuries, among other works that belong to the private collection of Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva.

It has a pemanent exhibition: " an identity's pathway" where places and some of the history of the Barreiro parish are pictured. One can view, among others, an 18th century tile panel with the image of Our Lady of Rosary as well as old traditional boats. There is also a temporary exhibition where archeologists work.

As the Memorial of the Hermitage, this monument from the 13th century have been a stopping point on the way of transfer of the body of d. Mafalda for the monastery of Arouca. Consists of two horizontal slabs placed at two levels. Are connected by two vertical blocks in the form of funerary stele, with ornate circular trim crosses.

The tradition refers the existence, in this place, of a monastery founded in the VI century. From this one the only remains left were two capitals from the Christian Re-conquest. After a first repair, made in 1087, which kept the principal chapel and some arcades, the church was greatly altered in 1930.

This is a Manueline pillory in which its octagonal shaft has a flat surface dating its original construction from the 16th century. In 1951 it was reconstructed on the Museum yard using some elements that used to be part of the original one: the base, part of the shaft and the capital. In 1983 it was displaced to the present place.

In addition to being able to rest in peace, will have the opportunity to participate in cultural events and entertainment organised by the Club.

On the hillside of Serra do Facho is the sanctuary of the Lord of miracles with a chapel, dedicated to this devotion, in granite next to which is a majestic oak, centenary, which protects the temple with its leafy branches. It is in this sanctuary that is celebrated the mass of the feast in honour of Senhor dos Milagres, which takes place annually in September.

This manor-house is placed in the seventeen hundreds, named Solar dos Carneiros and its plan is rectangular covered with four-sided roof. This emblazoned house, unique in Póvoa do Varzim Municipality, nowadays shelters the Museu Municipal de Etnografia e História (Ethnography and History Municipal Museum).
