A Casa da Eira, situated in the village of Vilar, is an ancient farmhouse transformed into Rural Tourism accommodation. This complex maintains the architectural structure of a wealthy farm house in the region of Barroso: the houses of housing and the den involve an inner courtyard, the old barns and stables, now converted into a Museum and regional wine cellar define the perimeter of the eira that gives the name to the House.

In this museum you can visit a collection of modern art, namely paintings and sculptures by Martins Correia. It has been located since 1982 in the building of the former Town Hall and Prison.

This granite building formerly served as a courthouse, prison, town hall, and farmers' guild. Currently, it houses the Municipal Library. Of particular note is the 18th-century National Coat of Arms ornamentation.

Located 17 kilometers from Rio Maior, the area's main feature is its extensive valley with rock salt flats. Architectural highlights include the Nossa Senhora do Rosário parish church, the pillory, the former Town Hall, now the Azambujeira Regional Museum, and the single-arch stone fountain bridge built during the reign of Queen Maria. Local crafts include blankets, pottery, and wooden clubs.

Church at the Colégio dos Jesuítas (Jesuit College), which is now the Madeira and Católica Universities. It is a mannerist building from the XVII century, with various paintings from the XVII and XVIII centuries inside. The beautiful altar at the chapel of the Eleven Thousand Virgins and the glazed tiles at the vestry walls are worthy of notice.
