It also preserves a Roman milestone to Magnentius that marked mile XXI of Itinerary XVI between Braga and Lisbon.

It preserves two milestones found during the construction of the new Palace of Justice in the city of Loures, where a Roman Villa was also identified.

The church is due to King Sebastião who, by charter of 1571, ordered it to be built. It is a temple with a tripartite facade, with a galilee opening in the central body. The lateral bodies are made up of imposing bell towers. Interior of three naves with round arcades and stone pilasters. The Baroque carved altars, the Estremoz marble altarpiece and Mannerist paintings from the end of the 16th century deserve special attention.

The Church of San Isidoro is one of the most interesting and best preserved testimonies to Romanesque of the current municipality of Marco de Canaveses. This church, together with that of Tabuado, standardizes the Romanesque Lower Tâmega, both in the Organization of space as in the arrangement of the elevations, in the typology of openings and in like rank in rosettes. This church conserves one of the most interesting murals produced in Portugal in the first half of the 16th century.
