Monument dating from the 17th century and consists of five bastions: Santa Catarina, São Pedro, good news, Espírito Santo and Santa Luzia. In 1959, the Fort suffered conservation works, in 1997 the Church was fully recovered and in 2000\/2001 was rebuilt the wall.

Oratory consisting of a circular step under which rests on a pedestal. About this is a quadrangular plant porch supported by four columns with Ionic capitals. To top it off, a dome-shaped Barrette of cleric. Emphasis on the image, in stone-talc, representing the sacrifice of São Sebastião.

The São João Novo Palace is a baroque style building from the XVIII century. The main front and the staircase which occupies the main area of the building stand out. The main gate is dominated by a large panelled arch, whose frames end with a pair of ornament.

This street is filled with old houses with wooden balustrade balconies. D. João I padrão (a large stone cross with the Kings Coat of Arms) dated from the XVI century stands out, as well as the São Domingos Order dated from the 19th century.

Starting to the north of the São Mamede Hill, this river separates Portugal and Spain and totals 40 kilometres, a part of which are shared by both countries. It is one of the main rivers in the north of the Alentejo region that flows to the Tagus and one of the main tributaries of its left bank.
