A space located in the Convent of Saint Francis of Mértola. It exhibits irrigation systems used since the days of the Moors and the importance they had. As one visits the convent, it is also possible to visit the botanycal garden, the birds reservation and the art gallery.

A famous beach, very popular with tourists, surrounded by dunes, with an area exclusively for fishermen. The long stretch of sand has excellent cliffs for paragliding. This was the second "official" nudist beach in Portugal. Due to its rough waters and strong winds, it is sought after by bathers and enthusiasts of sport fishing, sailing and windsurfing.

Beach located between cliffs, appreciated by surfers and vacationers seeking quiet places. Just before arriving, the road is paved, but it is not winding. Access to the beach, watched but without any kind of infrastructure, is made by a stairway. It is famous among naturists.

Located near a wood quay with excellent views of it. The "coentrada" cuttlefish, its main speciality, as well as the shellfish rice, the wreckfish pasta, the eel "caldeirada" and stew are all very good. Before coffee, do taste the chocolate mousse.

A Gothic castle, imposing and austere, where the summit towers with spires and four pinnacles stand out as ornamentation. The walls are protected by crenellated embrasures and loopholes. Outside the walls, it is worth visiting the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation and the Chaplaincy House, in 17th-century Baroque style. The population moved to the vicinity of the castle attracted by the trade of goods that took place there, giving rise to the current city.

A farm of great beauty, where lush vegetation stands out, a mini-zoo with numerous birds, and a mini-botanical garden. A stroll can be synonymous with discovery, and here you can appreciate diverse botanical species, animals, sounds, and colors that Carlos Afonso, the owner of this natural space, once wanted to share with all who visit. A small oasis for all ages.

A pedestrian trail on the right banks of the Guadiana river. It passes by the ruins of the Ponte da Ajuda (Ajuda Bridge), by the place of Três Moinhos (Three Mills), where one may be visited. Near the final, do visit the Juromenha fortress.

The bike lane of Almeirim is a via for touring cyclists and all those who are interested in the site. A good way to get to know the region more healthy!

Lookout point located at the lighthouse of Ponta do Arnel, from where you can get a privileged view over the natural beauty of the region.

This viewpoint offers fantastic views over the center of Fonte Arcada, the Tavor river and the Vilar dam. A great way to get to know much of the region.
