Old deposit where the ice was kept from winter to summer, avoiding the fusion of ice grains and so securing the supplies for hospitals and hotels. It belongs to the Ecologic Park of Funchal and has 1650 metres high.

Baroque and Rococo church, dating from the 17th century. The interior is lavishly covered in baroque and rococo gilded carvings. It has a bell tower attached to the side. It features painting on the ceiling with relief engravings on wood.

It has floating fingers and can welcome up to 200 boats from 6 to 15 metres, and a 120 m long dock, for service and recreational boats. It has a sailing school and small bars and restaurants.

A restaurant located by the Tabuaço municipal pools, with a fine service and traditional Portuguese dishes. On saturdays there is live music. It organizes weeks devoted to the international cuisine on a regular basis, namely from Tirol, Italy and Asia.
