This mountain is located in the foothills of the serra da Cabreira, more precisely six miles northeast of Braga. The Bom Jesus and Sameiro are two places of pilgrimage to visit this mountain range overlooking the city. Annually, at the end of July, takes place at the top of the mountain, one of the most typical Minho festivals in honor of Santa Marta.

Caves discovered in 1971 that feature a gallery/room/shaft configuration. They have beautiful rooms and galleries filled with limestone formations, with a visitable length of 350 meters and a depth of 45 meters. There is an underground bar located in an adjacent cave, Cova da Moura, where there is a fully illuminated cave extending for about 50 meters.

Fajã de large dimensions, but with a smaller population, this site offers visitors a haven of peace and tranquility, where water from draining down the hills mark a strong presence. In addition to the nearly fifty houses, you can find the Hermitage of our Lady of Fatima and the fountain which stands next to this. Be sure to notice the interesting lava formations.

This is a fairly easy walking route. The route covers sites associated with the Battle of Buçaco, which pitted the army commanded by Marshal Massena against the Portuguese-British forces commanded by Wellington. You'll find the Military Museum, the Queen's Gate, the Chapel of the Cedron Bridge, a chapel commemorating the biblical story, and other places of great historical interest.
