The original construction date, probably from the late Middle Ages, having been rebuilt in the 18th century. Presents a plant consisting of a single nave, a rectangular chancel and a vestry located near. On the frontispiece is a double Bell and a straight Dick portal. In the interior, especially the lateral altarpieces and the main altarpiece of carved polychrome.

Built in 1530, the temple underwent several alterations, mainly during the 18th century. From the original design, it retains the giants that support the main chapel. A benedictin convent that dates back to the 12th century, totally remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. The façade is sided by two belltowers that end a fronton topped by a cross. The church, in the shape of a cross, has a nave with a cylinder shaped dome. The cloyster has, on the lower floor, six toscane archways and a baroque fountain in the centre.
