The Clube Português de Cinematografia (Portuguese Cinema Club) was founded in 1945 and renamed, three years later, Clube Português de Cinematografia/Cineclub do Porto. It screens non-commercial, author's movies, has a production section (that supports young directors), organizes children's sessions and workshops and also cinema classes.

A group of dunes and cliffs that protect the Bay of São Martinho do Porto. It is located at 19 kilometres from Alcobaça and it is a geographical accident that, because of its shape, like a perfect shell, is unique in Portugal and in the rest of Europe. This fort, built by Philip III in 1603, is located on Pessegueiro Island, south of Porto Covo. During the Restoration War, this fortification suffered several Castilian attacks and was severely damaged. At the end of the 17th century, during the reign of King Pedro II, a new fort was built, which currently lies in ruins.
