Church built in 1456, when Jácome came from Bruges to take charge of the captaincy. Highlights include its portals, the Manueline vaults of the side chapels and the Renaissance wooden altarpiece.

A typical village on the right bank of the Távora river, with traditional houses and granite cobblestone streets. A special note to the romanesque church, restored in the 16th century, a romanesque fountain, the House of Paço, with a gothic portal, the Fountain of Mergulho, with a granite barrel vault and the Place of the Toca da Moura (The Moor Woman's Lair), a natural shelter. In addition to the gambas al champiñones and clams, with entries include the stew, rice with monkfish, the mixed seafood, the Masada of fish and various dishes of swordfish. Option of the land is the pork alentejana. For dessert, try almond delight.

Building used as a jail until the fifties of the twentieth century. On the ground floor, work cells, being the Windows protected by bars of iron. On the top floor, worked until 1956, Castro Verde elementary school.

Located in the heart of the city's historic center and housed in a building that served as a jail for many years, this museum opened in 2001. It features an exhibition focusing on local ethnography and some temporary exhibits. It also features an auditorium.
