A dome shaped dam, on the Cávado river, built in 1955 for the production of electricity. The reservoir is one of the loveliest in Portugal, located on the southern borderline of the Gerês National Park. The best panoramic view of the valley and of the reservoir is from the Pedra Bela Belvedere, to the right from the Caldas do Gerês. Sports and leisure are authorized, even though only in certain areas.

Rocky beach, with small sand beach and excellent conditions for surfing. It is sheltered under a cliff, from the top of which you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view. Known as one of the best beaches for surfing, it regularly hosts world championship events. A few meters away is Ericeira Camping, with a wide range of services in the field of camping and caravaning.

The Convent's restaurant, at the Golden Tulip Braga Hotel (formerly hotel Sentir Falperra) has a capacity for 120 People, offers an à La Carte service inspired by the rich traditional and international cuisine with a touch of refinement and modernity. Enjoy your meal accompanied by the breathtaking view over the gardens and pool that extends to the Serra do Marão.

The Mall opened in 2007, with 133 shops spread out over two floors, with views to the exterior. Features restaurants, a hypermarket and outdoor terrace. The theme of the architecture of this shopping and leisure centre is based in the traditions of São João da Madeira, being the visitors surprised at every step of the halls with mechanisms, showcases and medallions that tell the story of the shoe and hat.

Excellent views of the Mira river and a wide range of fresh fish. The right place for eating grilled dishes, but other dishes are also recommended: tuna steak, octopus and monkfish rices and fried squids "à casa". At the right season there are fish eggs and sardines salads. Some of its best desserts are the orange "à beirã" and the apple pie.

Restaurant located in an elegant and refined solar where previously stood the "stranded", with the decor to remind an old pharmacy, in shades of white. Around, beautiful gardens with a nice terrace offering views over Lisbon and the Tagus River. Belonging to the same owners of the well-known "Ideal Tavern", serves good snacks and cocktails. Be sure to prove their tibornas.

A restaurant with two rooms and a terrace, for the warmer days. It serves quite well prepared traditional Portuguese dishes. The wine list is small. A restaurant/shellfish house that offrs typical Portuguese dishes, with a dining room on the first floor. Simple decor and panoramic sea views. Kind and effective service. The terrace is open only during the summer.

Seafood Restaurant Fialho is situated next to the Ria Formosa, to obtain views from the terrace. The door is the grill and the Exhibitor always fresh fish, some of them, caught minutes before by fishermen of ria. Therefore, fish and seafood are the protagonists of the menu. If your appetite calls for meat, there are black pork secret, Alentejo pork and the lamb chops.

Large restaurant, all glazed, thus allowing a beautiful view of the Tagus River. The menu light flavors blend with the quality of large dishes, highlighting the fondue and raclettes. Works also as bar, sine the ideal setting for a summer night, in a room decorated with maritime motifs. Bet on nightly entertainment with live bands from Sunday to Thursday.

A restaurant located in the toruistic centre of Carvoeiro, quite near the beach. It has a welcoming atmosphere and a wide variety of dishes, be it for the hot weather days, such as salads, or for the colder ones. It has also children's menus, fast dishes and vegetarian dishes. It has a terrace with views of one of the most touristy streets in Carvoeiro and usually has live music inside.
