The House of the Park is a 3 star hotel located in Castelo de Vide, in one of the most preveligiada areas of the town, with great views of the large garden and the Serra de São Paulo. Consists of 25 rooms, all equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, heating and TV, some rooms with balcony overlooking the garden and the mountains. There is also a restaurant distinguished by its quality.

The top of the Bonanza consists of two bedroom apartments and a Villa T3 with capacity for 7 people. The houses are typical of the island of Pico, made in stone and with red Windows, overlooking the sea and in one of the most beautiful fronts to the mountain and to the island of São Jorge. The project consisted in the recovery, reconstruction and modernisation of a rural household, consisting of the main house, a granary, a hayloft and a tank, in regional stone.

This garden, designed by architect Sidónio Pardal, is one of the main green spaces of São João da Madeira. Very well taken care of and pleasant, runs parallel to the Avenida da Liberdade and extends from the building of the town hall to the place of the bridge, reaching the river Ul and their margins. The garden connects the urban park installed along the Valley traversed by the same river.

Former Mannerist Franciscan convent. Currently, the Mesão Frio City Council, the Land Registry and the Tourism Office operate in the convent building. The interior of the church features wooden ceilings, a nave with a high choir, pulpits and two chapels. Together with the Convent of São Francisco de Vinhais, it constituted one of the two convents of the Order of Friars Minor that were Apostolic Seminaries in the district.

The Museum-Cal route encompasses several landmarks of the natural heritage, built and cultural de São Vicente in an area of approximately 12,000 square meters. Among which, apart from all the local scenic beauty are two quarries of limestone, a lime kiln and other production support places like haystacks, poios and taken, rather elements characteristic of the Madeiran countryside.

In 1762, with the purpose of strengthening the defenses of the fortress of São João da Barra, proceeded to the construction of a battery consisting of a parapet of masonry to which, years later, added a wall of stone and lime, closing the enclosure. Badly damaged by successive attacks, began to be leased to private individuals. On the occasion of the construction of the Marginal, in 1942, was restored. In 1955 was obtained the evacuation of premises and went on to work as a summer camp.

Religious architecture from the 16th century located in plaza Largo de Chafariz, surrounded by necropolis and composed by a nave, main chapel and bell tower. On the interior it can be appreciated some murals behind the altar, even though its conservation state is daily affected by the humidity. The saint is São Miguel but the inhabitants from this region are particularly devoted to Our Lady of Ajuda (Help).

São João de Alporão church is a temple from the 12th century and it appeared under the political – religious fight contexts during the Christian Reconquest. This is a singular temple by the way it associates the Gothic style and the Romanic style. On the interior it stands out the fourteen hundreds tombstone from Dom Duarte de Menezes. Nowadays the church is open to the public as a Museum for Temporary Exhibitions.

São Lourenço Bay, also known as the "Rising Sun" Bay, is a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards separated by meadows, with the blue sea as a backdrop. The lush green landscape and the blue ocean create a truly enchanting setting. The area covers approximately 113 hectares and has been designated a nature reserve since 1987. It is freely accessible to anyone who wishes to visit.
