Located by the beach, it has an inteerior pateo and a terrace with a backup bar. In the summer the nights are rather lively with DJs, live music or karaoke. It serves breakfasts, lunches and dinners and remains open until 2 am in the winter and 3 am in the summer. It closes on Monday during the winter.

The municipal museum of archeology includes the monographic nucleus of the necropolis of Carenque, where it is possible to observe 3 artificial caves dating from the end of the 4th millennium BC, discovered in 1932. The church with one single nave, presents a front with 3 arches, three lateral chapels, main-chapel and high-choir over the atrium. Worthy of notice are the staircase of the collegial building and its glazed tiles, the XVIII century cloister and the golden woodcarving retable of the Sacramento chapel.

This building used to be associated with the road network of the region. Consists of 3 floors, simultaneously, civil architecture and Gothic Romanesque. Stud farm linked to the former Royal Stud Farm, founded in 1748 by King João V, with the aim of producing good quality horses. After two and a half centuries ensuring the evolution and preservation of the breed, the Stud Farm of Alter is the oldest Portuguese stud farm and, in the world, the one that has operated in the same location for the longest time: Coutada do Arneiro in Alter do Chão.

Open since 1985, it is one of the oldest museums in the country dedicated to the theme of wine. It aims to promote traditions linked to the rural world, especially wine production and vine cultivation. It evokes the history and the different steps necessary for wine production, from planting the vines to bottling. It has a typical tavern, a restored old wine cellar, and a permanent exhibition with decorations alluding to bulls, horses, and cowboys.
