The campsites piao, located a few kilometres from the Centre of Covilhã, is in close proximity to the Serra da Estrela. Once in the Park can also see the tower. This is definitely a great starting point for exploring the paths and pedestrian routes, a unique opportunity to meet the people and the culture of this region. The Caldeira, a crater 2000 meters in diameter and 400 meters deep, results from the volcanic nature of Faial Island. It's a beauty for the eyes, as long as the weather conditions alow it.
