This 16th-century chapel was built on the site where, according to tradition, Friar Rodrigo and Friar Romano arrived in the 12th century, bringing the image of Our Lady of Nazaré from Mérida. Notable features of this rural chapel include the altarpiece of the main altar, two panels with 16th-century paintings, and remnants of 17th-century tiles.

Fajã de large dimensions, but with a smaller population, this site offers visitors a haven of peace and tranquility, where water from draining down the hills mark a strong presence. In addition to the nearly fifty houses, you can find the Hermitage of our Lady of Fatima and the fountain which stands next to this. Be sure to notice the interesting lava formations.

This monument evokes the ancient legend of cingeleiro. Pray this legend in the middle ages, a group of cingeleiros found a slab with the face of Christ Crucified, while going out there plowing the fields. After the clean up, they took her to the center of the village, where flocked the others cingeleiros. From then on, every year, they come together to celebrate the feast of the blessing of the Cattle.

Very old mountain village, populated long before the Foundation of Portugal, probably in Arab or Roman times. It is located in the northeast of the municipality, next to the Cabreira and Baçô mountains, which originate from the Serra da Estrela. Highlights include the main church, the most notable monument in the parish, and the Chapel of Santo António, with its gilded altar.

This village, where the inhabitants re small farmers, has culm covered houses and crossas that protect the sheperds from the rigorous winters. The architectural heritage includes tha chapel of Saint Luzia, the famous "Pedra de Favais" (Favais Rock), with carved angels and "alminhas". The natural heritage includes the Poio river with scenic views with gorges and waterfalls.

This town's main attraction is the Mozarabic church, the only one on the Peninsula, which attests to the town's antiquity, predating the Christian reconquest. Also of great cultural interest are the remains of medieval anthropomorphic tombs, some Roman and perhaps Visigothic. Also, noteworthy are the pillory (a Property of Public Interest) and several sunny houses from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Located in the Serra de Montejunto, this town has Neolithic remains until the 12th century, and this permanence is documented with protohistoric, prehistoric and Roman remains. The old houses from the 17th to the 19th century, with exterior staircases and porched balconies, are worth a visit. In Serra de Montejunto, the ruins of a convent and the Chapel of Senhora das Neves stand out.

Cultural Foundation created in the location where Aquilino Ribeiro lived, more precisely in a manor house dating from the 19th century where the writer lived. The house-museum has a private chapel, an interior courtyard and farm outbuildings. Here you can find hundreds of the writer's personal objects on display, including books, postcards and photographs.
