Typical village located between Cabril and Paradela, hidden among towering granite monoliths, which overlap with the housing. The locale remains conserved the typology of rural buildings encrusted in rocks, which give them shelter and protection.

This preserved village was built in granite with typical regional schist rooftops.

Located on a green hillside, this village is composed of two different areas. On the oldest, with narrow streets, there is a natural belvedere. A special note to the "alminhas", to an 1851 sun clock, the church of Saint Bárbara and a wide set of espigueiros (small cereal warehouses), public fountains and a leisure park.

A village by Azibo Dam, with typical regional houses. The Azibo Dam (built in the 1980s) has a Nature Park, with pedestrian routes, a river beach and an information centre.

A rural core around small farms and herds, the village of Póvoa Dura has old dark stone houses and cobblestone streets. A special note to the nearby belvederes.

In this village, located by a stream that flows to the Dueça river, the mother church, rebuilt in the 19th century, with an 18th century door, the pillory (Public Interest Construction), the Boiça House and the old Garridos Manor stand out. The Podentes Cellars belong to the Route of the Beiras Wines. The craftswork includes tapestries.

A village located on the hillside of the mountain, whose name is due to an enormous rock, located at the mountain top, inaccesible in the words of the population. In Penalonga there are three chapels, the chapel of Our Lady of Livração, the patron saint, that of Saint Ana and that of Saint João, located in the middle of a corn field. Several of its rural houses have sun clocks, namely the Casa da Ponte (Bridge House), with its interior yard and the espigueiros (small cereal warehouses).

It belongs to the group of traditional villages of Montalegre and is includ in the Artisans Route.
