The masonry units here attest to the existence of Roman dwellings from the 1st century to V, with changing rooms, warehouses, salting fish and buildings with frescos and mosaics. These ruins are classified as Property in the public interest.

This elevation reaches its highest point at approximately 587 meters and boasts abundant vegetation due to the high rainfall. From its summit, we can enjoy fantastic views of the entire island.

Located in one of the foothills of the Serra de Montemuro, a Sanctuary stands out at the top of the Serra de Santa Helena. From this point you can see a beautiful landscape with the town of Tarouca at the foot.

Small rocky beach, located south of Ribeira D'ilhas, whose access is on foot from the beach of Empa. Is little known and frequented, and surveillance. Is conducive to the practice of extreme sports and hunting of small crustaceans.

Long sandy beach and little rock. It's a relatively quiet beach and with similar characteristics to those which are included in this zone. A few metres from the coast is a German submarine sunk in World War II.

Beach surrounded by cliffs, with a small natural pool. Offers quality restaurants, good terraces and nocturnal animation. Is one of the safest of the County, being sheltered from Northern winds by the tip of Santa Marta.

Integrated restaurant at Hotel Santa Maria, located just five minutes from the airport and close to Vila do Porto. Serves Mediterranean cuisine and Santa, a refined space excited with piped music.

Shopping Center with two floors, has a commercial area with 2383m2. Building built from scratch, with commercial and residential function. Has 24 stores and is located in the Centre expansion axes. No hypermarket, supermarket.
