This is an elegant temple with an imposing facade. It is the true landmark of the city, worth visiting to appreciate the tile panels depicting the lives of Saint Peter and Saint Paul and the Renaissance altarpiece.

Fort located at the foot of Serra da Arrábida. Its tower is dated from 1390. In 1572 it suffered enlarging works and was completely remodelled after the Restoration War. The chapel, covered with glazed tiles from the XVIII century, is worthy of notice. In the XIX century it was a prison and later the holydays residence of King D.Carlos and Queen D. Amélia. In 1909; it became a hospital for orthopaedic diseases and maintains its function until today.

It is on the way to Colmeal da Torre that you can find this enigmatic building of Roman origin, classified as a National Monument since 1927. There are several theories and legends linked to this rectangular building with three floors, whose initial function remains undefined, but which was possibly integrated into a Roman villa. One of these legends maintains that it was a prison with 100 cells, where Saint Cornelius, who formerly also named it, would have been imprisoned.

The Carris offers two alternative touristic circuits, in double-deckers: The Tejo and the Orient Express circuits. They both start in Praça do Comércio and have an interpreter guide. The passengers may leave the bus whenever they want to visit any particular place they are interested in and, then, return to the circuit again. The Tejo circuit runs through downtown and the historical area of Belém, where you can see monuments such as Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower and Padrão dos Descobrimentos (stone monument of the Portuguese discoveries). This trail begins and ends at the river beach of Alvito da Beira. It is 11.4 km long, takes about 3 hours, and has a medium level of difficulty. The main points of interest on this trail are the village of Alvito da Beira itself, Lameira da Mó, and Cova do Alvito.

Travel through nature, through medieval paths, always with the necessary directions and historical notes. The walk has a length of 6.2 km, which means 2-3 hours walking. It is possible to pass by the Pombeiro Monastery, by the Vila Fria Bridge, among other points of public interest.

A linear path between the Salto and the Sernande's Mother Church. It lasts about two hours along 4.2 km. One can be in touch with nature and observe a rural village as is the case with Sernande. The trail is called "Peregrinação" (Pilgrimage) because the procession of Our Lady of Salto passes here.

Located in the centre of Cascais, this typical Irish pub is a peaceful and pleasant space with ambient music and accessible prices. From 5 pm to 7 pm it is Happy Hour time, when Guiness beer is served at half the normal price. It has live music on thursdays, fridays and saturdays.

There were four gates of the city, some have already destroyed, but keeping the names of antiquity. It's still the portas de Santo António, located to the Northeast, today enters the city. The Wicket is a small Gothic door, situated to the East, checking in only the pawns. To the Southwest is the fence gate, in good condition and to the North are the doors of Nossa Senhora do Amparo.
