Ideal space to get to know some of the region's gastronomy, whose specialties may include: lamb stew, grilled black pork soup or grilled bass sarapatel. Good wine list, with highlight to the Alentejo.

Located on the northwestern slope of the mountain range, this village preserves a large number of thatched-roofed houses made of loose stone. The 18th-century main church and the 12th-century memorial are noteworthy. Traditional costumes are still worn today.

A bronze statue, over a marble base, paying homage to Gonçalo Mendes da Maia “O Lidador”, hero of the foundation of the nationality, whose first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, nominated his “Adeantado”. The statue is by the sculptor Lima de Carvalho.

Church with Baroque and Rococo influences. Features single ship with chorus-high and chancel. The Bell Tower's cupola for the classroom and within any decor is enlivened by the retabulística. The Rococo arises in ashlars of tiles and stucco notes with shell motifs, pay phones and bat wings.

At the Portela of the former, located north of the village of Penedones, there are three shallow granite outcrops, where they identify sets of anthropomorphic graves, his head perfectly defined and narrow for my feet. One of the outcrops is located next to a post of high voltage and recognizes three adjoining graves.
