A bronze statue, over a marble base, paying homage to Gonçalo Mendes da Maia “O Lidador”, hero of the foundation of the nationality, whose first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, nominated his “Adeantado”. The statue is by the sculptor Lima de Carvalho.

Built in the 14th century, it was only in 1562 that the church became sacred. It was remodeled over the centuries, with Renaissance and Baroque details in the side chapels. At the beginning of the 20th century, its demolition was planned, but it survived as a prison and, from 1920, it was transferred to Companhia Leiriense de Moagens.

A mausoluem where Alfredo da Silva lies, built in 1944. Grandiose, it was planned by the architect Luís Cristino da Silva and has bas-reliefs by Leopoldo de Almeida. Built in stone, it is of the arabic type and has a small chapel and a wall in half circle.

An 18th century monument consisting of a granite cross covered with tiles and sheltered by a vaulted porch, with a square plan, crowned by a lantern. In the inner corners, the images of the evangelists appear. It was built in the place where, according to tradition, the image of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos appeared.
