Located in one of the foothills of the Serra de Montemuro, a Sanctuary stands out at the top of the Serra de Santa Helena. From this point you can see a beautiful landscape with the town of Tarouca at the foot.

The garden located in the centre of the square was framed around the lake, inspired in the English romantic model. This space invites you for a walk to forget the city stress. Here stand out the famous centenary cedar of Buçaco, ex-libris of this place and two monuments paying homage to the journalist França Borges and the poet and historiographer Sousa Biterbo. You may also find here old news stands, an esplanade and a playground.

Small bronze bust that pays tribute to Simon Bolivar, the great liberator of Venezuela. It is located in the Centre of the roundabout with the same name, based on a block of marble.

A mannerist chapel with a longitudinal plan, carved on the rocks. It was built in the 17th century, and it is thought to having been a shelter for Canary isles slaves. One enters the chapel by a pedestrian path.
