Enjoying an excellent state of preservation, the Castro de Romariz is a fortified settlement dating from the 5th century BC, with occupation levels extending to the 1st century AD, and is considered one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Entre Douro e Vouga region. The building, also known as the Prison House, dates from the 16th century and is located in Pereiras, in the parish of Refojos. Its purpose is to support cultural activities related to all types of music, and it also serves as the headquarters of the century-old Banda Cabeceirense.

A2 floors cottage with 2 bedrooms, living room with kitchenette and a bathroom (extra bed on the living room). It also has an enclosed patio with a garden and a wonderfull view over the river Coa. An unique feature of this cottage is that one of its walls is literally part of the the Medieval Village Wall.
