Convento Dominicano de Nossa Senhora das Neves

The Theatre Chaby Pinheiro is locatd by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, at the "Sítio". It is an early 20th century building, planned by the architect Ernestro Korrodi & Thieraga. It has a rather rich interior that contrasts with its simple facade. It is on of the most important places in town where cultural activities take place.

Baroque church of longitudinal plant simple, with a nave, a chancel narrower and adossados, a sacristy, a Bell Tower and several annexes, with distinct coverings on false barrel-vaults down. It was probably built in the second half of the 18th century, on the site of a previous Temple existed, not left, however, traces of this early construction.

The church, with its early Gothic style, was later expanded with Renaissance and Baroque elements. The carved high altar, pulpit, side altars, tiles, and ceiling decorations are prominent features of the church's interior. The sacristy's highlights include the 16th-century altarpieces of Saint Peter on the throne and the Martyrdom of Saint Peter.

This Renaissance church was founded by Dom Pedro de Menezes in 1528. It has a unique facade, where the gable slopes symmetrically down to the pillars, opening into two arches. Of particular note are the carved stonework, the star-vaulted ceiling of the chancel, the early 17th-century tiles, the pulpit, and the wooden balcony.
